To master the 11 competencies of the ICF to become a professional coach and coach your first « real clients » in the framework of your Nova Terra certifying coach training – 28 days in two phases, over 14 months, by modules of 2 to 3 days

- Future professional coaches
- HR specialists who want to get behind the scene of coaching and promote a coaching culture in their organization
- Managers, consultants, teachers, lawyers, trainers who wish to integrate coaching skills in their daily practice
- Prerequisite: some recommended reading (to read before the end of the program)
- Possibility to join the program at the start of Phase 2 (day 14) for the coaches who already have their ACC credentialing or who pursued a first coach training in another school (after a coaching competency assessment).
Program:
Phase 1 (13 days with mentor coaching and a first assessment of core competences at ACC level)
Introduction: Why coaching today? What is coaching? The structure of a coaching session
Competence 1: Meeting ethical guidelines and professional standards - The basic attitude and convictions of a coach, Coaching vs. other professions
Competence 2: Establishing the coaching agreement – Individual and global coaching agreements, Parties’ roles and responsibilities
Competence 3: Establishing trust and intimacy with the client – The main tools to create a partnership with the client and build trust
Competence 4: Coaching Presence - Knowing how to listen, calibrate, and synchronize, The TA and NLP toolbox, Reframing to modify perceptions
Competence 5: Active listening – Working with the “white screen”, Reformulation , Communicating with the aim to raise positive energy
Competence 6: Strong and meaningful questioning – Asking questions that generate discovery, introspection, engagement or action, Asking open questions that lead the client to identify their own needs
Competence 7: Direct communication – Provide feedback to enhance development, learn to meta-communicate
Competence 8: Creating Awareness – Help client find inner resources, key points and needs, Enlarging the field of vision , Initiating the change process
Competence 9: Designing action – Leading the coachee to action and other available alternatives, Stimulating active experimentation, Encouraging efforts and challenges
Competence 10 – Planning and goal setting – The conditions of a good objective, Searching for resources, Quick wins and the success spiral
Competence 11: Managing progress and accountability – Analyzing successes and barriers, recognizing achievements already made
Competence 12 according to Nova Terra : Brand Yourself – Determine the elements of «Personal Branding », Launch a business – building a clientele, Gaining confidence
Integration and first supervised practice – Bringing together theoretical elements to support practice, Group practice supervised by a Master Coach, Assessment of your integration of the 11 coach core competences according to the ICF and of your ability to reach the first credentialing level: ACC (Associated Certified Coach).
Phase 2 (15 days with assessment of the ICF core competencies at PCC level + practice with your first clients)
Launching your first client practice with the support of a Master Coach
Module 1: The challenges of the coach - Analysis of the request – The systemic relationship – Transfer and counter-transference: discovering your own learning path – Building relationships: developing intimacy whilst maintaining the necessary distance – Hidden requests: official contracts and pacts with the coachee – The necessary retreat: being connected whilst maintaining a certain distance - The limitations of coaching within a business: coaching does not solve everything – Ethical principles – The mentality of coaches and managers in relation to coaching
Module 2: Beliefs and Values : Identifying different value systems – Indentify and transforming limiting beliefs – Thinking outside of the box by practicing effective reframing – Recognising “drivers” and beliefs and using them as a lever for change – Supporting the implementation of new beliefs
Supervised practice: Case studies and group coaching practice under the guidance of a Master Coach
Module 3: Body-mind-spirit alignment
- Somatic Coaching (2 days that can be taken as a separate workshop) – Learn to work with your body and the client’s body – being connected, in touch with the body to encourage self-reliance – linking mental and cellular intuition – increasing energy
- Recognising the meaning of coaching for the client, for the coach and for humanity – improving the presence of the coach and the coachee – accessing intuition and recognising the individual voice and way
Module 4: Managing emotions – Learning to manage, express and change emotions – The difference between emotions and moods
Module 5: Grieving and life transitions – Life scenarios – The Hudson wheel – Evolution Loops (Cannio-Launer model) – Helping the coachee to develop their vision and their ability to project into the longer term – Examining deep levels of change within people and within companies – Understanding and supporting the process of grieving in private and within the company – Learning to overcome resistance and move into the unknown with confidence – Obtaining commitment to action
Supervised practice – Case studies and group coaching practice under the guidance of a Master Coach
Phase 2 certification (PCC/ICF level) – (1 day in sub-groups) - Written examination and end-of study work presentations – Nova Terra Certification by external MCC assessors
