As we reach the end of the ‘academic’ year at Nova Terra, it's a time when we choose to reflect and review on that which we have accomplished. Based in Uccle, Brussels, our team has been dedicated to fostering a vibrant coaching community, providing an experiential and explorative learning environment for those looking to become coaches. Let's take a walk down memory lane and revisit the highlights of this transformative year…
Welcoming Gareth as Director of Business Development
The year started with a significant addition to our team: the arrival of Gareth Couch as our new Director of Business Development. Gareth brought a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to Nova Terra. His creativity and innovative approaches have already begun to yield results. Together we are focussing on expanding our reach and enhancing our service offerings; positioning us for an exciting future ahead.
Launching Our New Website
We were thrilled in October to unveil our newly designed website. Our new platform not only reflects our brand identity but also provides an enhanced user experience. The new website features comprehensive information about our coaching programs, easy navigation, and valuable resources for aspiring coaches. The Coaching Compass - the blog you are reading now - being one of them! The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, and we are proud to offer a digital space that truly represents the essence of Nova Terra Coaching and Consultancy.
Celebrating Two More Graduations with Level Two Certification
One of the cornerstones of Nova Terra is our commitment to coaching education and professional development. This year, we celebrated the graduation of two more cohorts of coaches who completed their Level Two Certification. These newly certified coaches are now equipped with further skills and knowledge, ready to introduce their unique coach approach into in their respective fields or as independent coaches. Watching our graduates grow and succeed is a privilege that we never take for granted, and we are honoured to be a part of their journey.
Attending the ICF Synergie Conference
In March, our team had the privilege of attending the International Coaching Federation (ICF) Synergie Conference in Lille, France. This event was a gathering of the brightest minds and biggest hearts in the coaching industry, providing an opportunity to learn, network, and share insights. The conference sessions covered a wide range of topics, from innovative coaching techniques to the latest industry trends. Our participation not only enriched our understanding but also reinforced our commitment to coaching within the French speaking community.
International Coaching Week
International Coaching Week is always a highlight of our calendar, and this year was no exception. We hosted a series of events designed to engage with the coaching community and the public. From workshops and webinars, to open coaching demonstrations, our goal was to spread the benefits of coaching far and wide - one conversation at a time. The turnout was fantastic - so many countries and cultures collaborating together, and the feedback we received highlighted the positive impact of what can happen when we work together and collaborate as a community. It was a week of learning, growth, and connection.
Celebrating Achievements
Beyond celebrating our graduates, we also had several reasons to celebrate within our team over the year. We were delighted to announce that our colleague and fearless leader Rym Hassaine achieved her Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation on July 1st. This came one year after her business partner, mentor and mother, Feryal Hassaine achieved her Master Certified Coaching (MCC) status. These prestigious certifications are a testament to the ethos of Nova Terra; dedication, skill, and unwavering commitment to excellence in coaching. Their accomplishments have been a source of inspiration for both colleagues and adult learners alike at Nova Terra.
Ce n’est qu’un au revoir…
As we celebrated our achievements, we also had to bid a heartfelt farewell to our colleague Alice, who has been at the heart of Nova Terra for almost five years. Alice's contributions have been invaluable, from first point of contact with prospective clients to continued support for each and every one of our alumni. Her departure marks the end of a significant chapter for our team and an opportunity to continue and build upon her hard work. We hope the sun shines warm upon her face and the wind remains ever at her back.
Looking Ahead: Exciting Developments on the Horizon
As we now sail through summer and into new waters, we have exciting plans in store. We are currently developing a coaching tool that integrates the use of images and powerful questions, centred around our pillars or learning and development that are unique to us at Nova Terra. This innovative approach aims to enhance the coaching experience, offering deeper insights and, facilitating meaningful and creative conversations through metaphor. We can't wait to share this new concept with you.
Overall, this year has been one of growth, innovation, and community building for Nova Terra Coaching and Consultancy. We have so much gratitude for the support of our team and the broader coaching community. Moreover, we are eternally grateful for YOU - the reader of this article. Whether this finds you as a prospective client, a future coach, or established alumni, we would not be here if it were not for you. So thank you, from our hearts to yours.
